How Device Fit Check decides whether an accessory is reusable
Our compatibility method separates shape-dependent products from standards-based accessories and prefers uncertainty over false confidence.
1. We start with first-party specifications
Height, width, depth, connector type and supported charging families come from manufacturer pages where available.
2. We classify the accessory
Cases and screen protectors are shape-dependent. USB-C cables and many chargers are standards-dependent. Magnetic accessories sit in the middle because charging standards can transfer while rigid geometry may not.
3. We use three verdicts
| Reuse | Public specifications and the accessory standard make reuse a strong conclusion. |

| Check | Reuse is plausible, but public data does not prove every accessory will fit or reach full performance. |
| Replace | Body or front dimensions differ enough that a model-specific case/protector is the safe choice. |
4. We do not infer fit from dimensions alone
Identical body measurements do not reveal every camera, button, speaker or sensor change. Where manufacturer pages do not explicitly confirm accessory cross-compatibility, we stay conservative.
5. We timestamp the data
Every supported device carries a last-checked date. Current records were checked on 12 September 2026.
