Does your phone get the new Android feature?

Google’s Android Drops mix OS requirements, app requirements, country availability and gradual rollouts. Check the conditions together instead of guessing from your phone model alone.

September 2026 Android Drop

These are the five current checks in the tool. “Rolling out” means the published requirements can be met before a server-side feature flag reaches every account.

Troubleshooting

Why a supported phone can still be missing the feature

The OS is only one requirement

Motion Assist depends on Google Play services. Find Hub remembered items depends on two apps, one Google Account and the default assistant setting.

Country and language can matter

Gemini-backed features inherit Gemini availability. A phone can meet the hardware and Android requirement while the region or language still blocks the feature.

Rollouts are staged

A feature can be announced and documented before the flag reaches every eligible account. Do not factory-reset a working phone just because a staged feature is late.

FAQ

Android feature availability questions

Does an Android Drop arrive as a full OS update?

Not necessarily. Some features arrive through Google Play services or app updates, so two phones on the same Android version can see a feature at different times.

Can this checker see whether the feature flag is enabled on my Google Account?

No. A website cannot inspect private account-side rollout flags. The checker combines published requirements with current rollout evidence and tells you when the remaining uncertainty is account-side.

Why ask for country?

Gemini-backed features can depend on where Gemini mobile is available. The country selector is used only for that rules check and is processed in your browser.

Why is the result sometimes “Eligible · rollout check” instead of Yes?

Because that is the honest answer when the public requirement is met but Google has not confirmed the feature on every model or account. Device Fit Check avoids turning missing evidence into a false guarantee.
